5K Run for Human Rights

Human Rights Initiative of North Texas, Inc. is excited to open registration for our first ever Run for Human Rights 5K! Come join HRI, its supporters, and avid local runners as we celebrate the end of winter and raise money to support the work that we do year round.

Where: Bachman Lake Park in Dallas

When: Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 8:30 a.m.

The race will be chip timed, and there will be prizes for the first place male finisher and first place female finisher overall. There will be separate prizes for the top three male and female runners in each age division. Registrants will receive a free T-Shirt (dependent on availability) and a goodie bag, including HRI’s official ‘I Pledge to Support Human Rights’ bumper sticker. Registration check-in for the race begins at 7:30 a.m. and awards will be handed out at 10:00 a.m.

Registration for the event is $25 for adults 16 an up, $20 for kids, and $10 for four legged friends. Adult registration increases to $30 after March 31, 2011. Registration closes on Thursday, April 14, 2011.
